publicity photo from The Killers, Don Siegel’s 1964 adaptation of the Ernest Hemingway short story. also starred Angie Dickinson, Clu Gulager, John Cassavetes, and Ronald Reagan as the head bad guy. Marvin and Gulager play hit men who, having killed Cassavetes, try to figure out why a guy would just sit there and wait to be shot. Reagan’s last film role before heading into politics.
